Good Morning - a Greeting for All Day Long!

Bottomless Joymosa Blog Banner - Good Morning

I have to share this with you, even if you think I'm crazy! This song from the Songs of Joy playlist influenced me to adopt a weird habit that I will never break. And, maybe you'll try it and like it, too!

If you're a gospel music fan, this tune Joy by Reverend James Moore may already resonate with you automatically. And, if you're not, get ready to clap your hands, stomp your feet, and jerk your neck when you listen. As the army-sized choir sings, "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy's gonna come in the morning," they remind us that hard times are only temporary! When this thought is front-of-mind, you just do things differently. You see a different perspective in most situations.

One thing I started doing differently is greeting people with "good morning" regardless of the time of day. It's kinda become a strange habit. Maybe it is crazy, but hear me out: If we believe that joy comes in the morning and is always available, doesn't that mean it is always morning? I'll give you a moment to think about it.

Good morning to you!

Without fail, when I say "good morning" to someone at, say, 8 o'clock at night, they respond with - of course, a confused look, but also a smile. They often try to correct me. And when they do, it's a chance for me to remind them, and me, that joy is in this moment.

Try saying "good morning" more often and let me know what happens? Have fun with it!
